Renee and Renato met while working together as nurses at their first hospital jobs in Houston. They were friends for a long time before realizing that maybe there was something more, although they suspect that most of their coworkers figured it out before they did! Renee told us that she finally realized she was in love with Renato while holding a ladder as he climbed the roof of a sick friend’s home in the middle of the night trying to secretly decorate the house with Christmas lights so the family could be surprised when they woke up! We just love that story … it says so much about how loving and caring these two are toward others, and that is exactly the kind of love and caring we saw when we photographed their beautiful wedding at the Immaculate Conception Church in New Orleans. A quick, but fun second line through the streets of New Orleans moved the party over to the Federal Ballroom where one heck of a party took place. Don’t let the chill personalities of Renee and Renato fool you … these two can dance and know how to have a good time! And seriously, its kind of hard to keep your feet from moving when Souled Out is in the house. We’re considering becoming wedding crashers just so we can hear them again and again!
