Steve has been friends with Sharon for too many years to count … from back in his Dallas days, which was a long time ago … and I was lucky enough to inherit her through our marriage! We were both delighted as could be when she introduced us to Bob and even more tickled when she called one night just after New Year’s and every so coyly slipped into the conversation, “so what are you doing on July 26?” I squealed … a lot! Not only was I SO excited to see Sharon and Bob both so happy, but being asked to be their photographers felt like a huge honor, as well. The planning went quickly and before we knew it, Steve and I were off to shoot our first out of state wedding.
The entire event took place at the Brookhaven Country Club in Farmer’s Branch, Texas, which was the perfect backdrop for their simple, yet elegant affair. Sharon was radiant in her silver sequined gown, which absolutely was the hit of the day! We did a quick first look with the bride and groom, then immediately rushed back inside to prevent any wilting or good ole’ Southern swooning, as the temperature registered 102 degrees that day! The ceremony quickly got underway, and Sharon met her handsome groom in front of an array of hand-carved wooden crosses, carved by her 100+ year-old grandfather who recently passed. After a touching and beautiful ceremony, they were pronounced man and wife, sealed the deal with a kiss and led the crowd into the next room for a fun filled evening of dinner and dancing! The night ended with a rose petal sendoff to happily ever after. Congratulations Sharon + Bob. Wishing you many, many years of happiness!
