I can think of no better way to celebrate 20 years of being a couple than by making it official and eloping! And I can think of no better place to elope than New Orleans!! And that is exactly what Latoria and David did last month for their 20 year anniversary!! We met them at their hotel, the beautiful Maison Dupuy, to capture their stunning details! Latoria chose a Mardi Gras themed color palette, which is so perfect when New Orleans is going to be the background for your ceremony. After the couple got dressed, we spent the afternoon walking the historic French Quarter and capturing some amazing images of the about-to-be-weds. The weather was absolutely perfect for this spontaneous, fun adventure. Just before sunset, we hopped in the car and headed over to the beautiful stone footbridge in City Park. The officiant and cellist were awaiting and as the sun went down the ceremony began. The bride walked up the bridge to the strains of “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith … which is pretty amazing played on a cello. After a quick, yet touching exchange of vows and rings, the couple exited to the equally amazing sounds of “All You Need is Love” by the Beatles. A few more quick shots were taken, and then the newly-weds were picked up by a beautiful white horse drawn carriage. The cellist, the horse drawn carriage … kind of reminds me of another wedding that was kind of a big deal this week! The whole elopement was royally perfect!! Congratulations to Latoria and David and wishing you 20+ more years of happiness!!
