“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….” is the exact same way both Jennifer and Ian began their vows to one another. I suppose when you’ve been married for 25 years you share the same mind, or at least that’s how it appears with these two. Their vow renewal was so wonderful to watch … they are such a beautiful couple and so much in love. She still laughs readily at his quick wit, he adores her with every fiber of his being. They’ve managed to navigate this thing called marriage for 25 years in a way that could serve as a “how to” for all of us, and here they are in front of their family and friends vowing to keep doing “forever” again, until death. Its rare and refreshing and downright inspiring to see that kind of commitment in this day and age of disposable everything.

Married at Mardi Gras time 25 years ago, it was only natural that Jennifer and Ian returned to The Big Easy to celebrate their anniversary. It’s usually not too difficult to get family and friends to join you in New Orleans for a celebration, and true to form, the courtyard of Hotel Provincial was overflowing with love!  Making the celebration even more special is that the ceremony was officiated by their oldest son and the rings were being watched over by their youngest.  After the joyful and moving ceremony, the whole party moved over to the Ursuline Room at Hotel Provincial for cocktails and dinner.  We left the party with our best parade recommendations and know that this fun-loving group enjoyed the remainder of the weekend at Mardi Gras! Laissez les bon temps roule, Jennifer and Ian, and we hope you call us when you celebrate your 50th!!
