New Orleans is such a special place to Julie and Brent. While she was living in the French Quarter, he was visiting during French Quarter Fest. A chance meeting while he was exploring the music and festivities turned into a lunch invitation and the rest, as they say, is history! So it was only natural that seven years later, they returned to New Orleans to be married. The wedding took place in a beautiful garden setting at the Hermann-Grima House with the delicate garden theme and color palette interwoven through every last stunning detail of the wedding, from the florals to the favors. But the real star of the show was the bride’s dress which was custom made by designer, Claire Pettibonne. I will forever refer to this wedding as “the one with the dress.” As we walked through the French Quarter for pre-ceremony portraits, literally everyone that laid eyes on the dress emitted a sigh, an ooh, or an ahhhhh!! And of course, the bride that wore the dress was absolutely radiant as she moved about with the gracefulness of a fairytale princess!!
After the wedding the reception party moved over to the adjoining courtyard at Broussard’s, where after a round of heartfelt toasts, guests were treated to dinner and dancing. The night wrapped up as the bride and groom lead the party on an amazing second-line parade through the French Quarter, complete with The Kinfolk Brass Band and Mardi Gras Indians. We left the happy couple and their crew dancing under the light of a full moon at Pat O’Brien’s. The whole event was truly magical! Congratulations to Julie and Brent and wishing you many, many years of happiness!
