New Orleans is such an amazing place to visit, but an even more incredible place to live!  When is the last time you went out and about and explored New Orleans from the viewpoint of a tourist?  Often said to have the feel of a European city, New Orleans is definitely not like any other place you will ever visit.  We took Jared and Brie out for a local adventure and had a blast!  Our local musicians are so talented and are so eager to entertain … be sure to tip them, and tell them you’re from somewhere else.  They seemed a bit disappointed when we told them they were not entertaining company!  We finished up our day with beignets, at dinnertime, while I was wearing black (aghhh, such a rookie mistake … any local knows you shouldn’t wear black to Cafe duMonde!) and as I drove home covered in powdered sugared sweetness,  I replayed the afternoon in my mind and thought, “Wow, this is why I live here!”
