Simple, yet elegant was the small, intimate wedding of Sarah and Rob at the Federal Ballroom in New Orleans last month. They grew up a continent apart, he in England, she in the United States, and yet they managed to meet and fall in love online. “Really,” I queried with interest … “on which dating site?” Oh no, it was nothing like that. They met in an online political chat room and soon started chatting amongst themselves! The rest is history, as they say, but I believe his airplane cufflinks might give a clue as to what these two have had to do to stay together! I loved their story and loved even more getting to know their families. I’m not sure which “first look” melted my heart more … the one with her groom, or the one with her dad … both were so touching and heartwarming! After all of the days’ festivities, I followed the newlyweds back to their hotel for a few last photo-ops in the lobby of the Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette, where we played around for a bit and she told me that the felt like the Queen of England! Congratulations you two! May you be happy for a lifetime together!
