What’s better than Southern Decadence in New Orleans? How about inviting all of your closest friends and family to come on down to the Big Easy to watch you get married during Southern Decadence … yesss!!! That’s exactly what Devon and Gabe did, and they did it in style complete with a beautiful candlelit, courtyard ceremony at Hotel Mazarin. The grooms were incredibly dapper as they stepped out in their dark suits from Men’s Wearhouse, with a pop of color from their ties that was just the perfect shade of red to make this girl’s heart skip a beat!! There were little red accents everywhere!! But the real show stopper was the florals that majestically spilled out of the courtyard’s center fountain, designed by Nola Flora. Between the florals and the candle light, the whole courtyard was transformed into something truly magical!
The ceremony, officiated by a friend of the couple, was incredibly heartfelt and touching, and quickly gave way to the joyous celebration of a second line. We had a blast traversing the streets of the French Quarter with the newlyweds and their crew to the joyous strains of the Kinfold Brass Band. It was a treat for all of their guests, and lucky passersby, alike! The wedding party retreated back to the La Louisiane Ballroom at Hotel Mazarin for dinner and a fun night of dancing! By all accounts it looked like a great time was had by all, and that giving out hangover kits as favors was a fantastic idea!! Congratulations again, Devon and Gabe, and many, many years of happiness to you two.
