Christy and Jason’s Christmas-time wedding at Hotel Provincial in New Orleans was nothing short of magical. Having shared numerous Christmases together in New Orleans in their youth, this intimate affair held a special significance for them, as they finally reunited, and rekindled a relationship that was simply meant to be. Opting for a small yet deeply personal celebration, they exchanged vows surrounded by close friends and family. The bride said of their many trips to New Orleans at Christmas, “Now a tradition, in 2023 it seems only fitting we exchange our vows surrounded by those we love the most, sharing in the holiday sights and sounds of the city we love the most, on our special weekend.”
The charm of the occasion was heightened by a pretty significant downpour. With a few pivots, ducks under balconies and the help of some clear umbrellas, Christy and Jason embraced the moment, and turned adversity into adventure. After the wedding celebration, the couple, along with their wedding party, joyfully paraded through the rain-soaked streets in true New Orleans fashion, with a lively second line led by The JayWalkers Secondline Band. Their Christmas wedding became a beautiful reflection of their love, marked by an unspoken promise to dance through life together, rain or shine.
