As another year comes to a close, we love to look back and reflect on all we did this year. It was certainly a year of variety for us, as we did plenty of work shoots, but lots of personal ones, as well. This was the year of the wedding for us … not just our own clients, but we saw our two children get engaged and plan their own weddings and then the weddings of dear friends brought us to The Dominican Republic and Antigua, Guatemala! We continued our never ending quest to improve our craft by participating in Shutterfest this spring. Something must be working because Steve took home second place in the wedding details category of the image competition! And because it is important to pay it forward, Marianne once again taught as a professional mentor for Momenta Workshops Project New Orleans, who she loves to revisit every year because, well, not only does she love the Momenta staff personally, but working with them and the students always recharges her love of documentary photography and helps her get back to those roots! Marianne also traveled to New York this summer to assist Kiersta Sze Photography and learn more about photographing high school seniors, which was whirlwind exciting!!! The fall also saw us once again dive into our annual fundraising for Second Harvest Food Bank, by conducting our annual Halloween fundraiser at the St. Martin Pumpkin Patch. This fundraiser has become one of our favorite community service givebacks and we love that we can help eliminate hunger in our community by using our cameras! We were also quite proud to celebrate our 5 year birthday on December 1 of this year! As we close out 2016, we have gathered a small sample of some of our many favorite images that make up the story of our year. We look forward to continuing to grow and learn and serve our community in 2017, and we have some exciting plans for the new year! Happy 2017 … we hope to see you behind our lens!
