Free Photos During Pumpkin Patch Food Drive
Come out and pick your perfect pumpkin, and get photographed for free during the food drive benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans and Acadiana at the St. Martin’s Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch. While monetary donations or donations of non-perishable food items will be gladly accepted, they are not required to receive a photograph. Marianne and Steve will be on hand to create free commemorative photos of children and families during their visit. Your photos will be inset into a Halloween themed template and delivered via email. Photographs will be taken Friday October 15th from 3:00pm until 6:00pm and on Sunday October 17th from 11:00am until 5:00pm.
Last year, our efforts working with St. Martin’s at this event resulted in donations of cash and food capable of providing over 2,300 meals to the community. We were incredibly grateful to have exceeded the donations from all previous years, in spite of Covid and the need for social distancing. We are stretching our goal once again this year and hoping to be able to raise enough funds and non-perishable food to provide at least 2,500 meals. Between Covid and the fallout from Hurricane Ida, there has never been a greater need in our community.
This will be the 10th Annual Food Drive for our studio and we are delighted to celebrate this milestone! What started as a small way for us to meet more families when we were first starting our business has blossomed into a community event that we are very proud to bring forth year after year.
The Pumpkin Patch is located at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 2216 Metairie Rd.
