The first time Stephanie and Nick tried to get married, their wedding was postponed just days before it was to take place, due to Covid. It was rescheduled for the following year. The second time Stephanie and Nick tried to get married, there was still no dancing allowed at weddings, and they decided to postpone once again. The THIRD time Stephanie and Nick tried to get married, well, truth be told, they were already married by this time, and had their beautiful baby girl in attendance with them at the fabulously fun, high energy dance party that took place at Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights Museum. Emotions were high and a lot of sighs of relief were breathed as the couple finally got to celebrate their marriage.
The wedding party got ready at the historic Hotel Monteleone, then the couple met for their first look in Exchange Alley. Many thanks to the kind folks at the Michalopoulos Gallery who helped us to hide Stephanie away until we could get Nick in place! After the first look, the family joined for formal portraits, and then the real fun began as the entire party took a circuitous second line route around the French Quarter from the Monteleone to the Bevelo Museum. Even sweet baby Nora joined in for baby’s first second line!
When the wedding ceremony began, since Stephanie and Nick were already married, they opted for a handfasting ceremony rather than a ring exchange. It was truly beautiful and touching. And once the knot was officially tied, the dance party they had waited so long for officially began. Congratulations to the new Pressler family … we know that this will be an everlasting love!
